Adidas Unveils Vintage-Inspired Superstar

Above: The classic-looking Superstar is available now

It may only be March, but Adidas is already making a pretty serious case for sneaker brand of the year. The German athletic giant has continued to deliver the goods with a number of high-profile drops and collaborations, including the increasingly coveted Kanye West and Pharrell Williams capsules. The aforementioned artists have elevated the company to brand new heights, giving Adidas another era of legitimate street cred and high fashion allure. Forget the glut of star power, however, and you'll begin to notice that the company has dominated the market on its own with a slew of original pieces. The NMD, Ultra Boost, and Uncaged lines have pushed serious units by selling out upon arrival, proving that Adidas is still Adidas with or without celebrity endorsements.

Adidas' primeknit shoes remain the hot commodity, but its more traditional offerings are far from lacking. Along with clean-looking Stan Smiths, the OG Superstars are the classic silhouette that will never go out of style. The sneaker gods must agree with us too, because Adidas has launched yet another style of Superstar, this time borrowing from retro colourways. The vintage Red/White/Blue crep is now available in select stores, and boasts the crisp Superstar design we've all come to know and love. Along with the rubber shelled toe and simple touches, the shoe also has a nice trefoil logo on its heel. To cop your own pair, visit Adidas' online webstore here.
