Sometimes, Tumblr can be an amazing place. Alongside its general blogosphere, the website is also a great host for artists showcasing cool creations. Case in point, London-based illustrator, David Murray. For the last couple of years, Murray has been sketching some of our favourite pop culture characters. This fact alone won’t seem like anything special, but it will be once you discover that the artist also puts these characters in high fashion streetwear.
Taking to his own Tumblr page, David Murray cleverly puts superheroes, Star Wars villains, and horror icons into Givenchy, HBA, and, Maison Margiela. Murray manages to maintain the aesthetic of the characters we’ve come to love, so their new attire doesn’t seem out of place. The whole thing is funny, neat, and interesting all at the same time.
