If you’re like most men, you have a go-to scent ready and waiting for you to spritz on each morning. It’s your signature, the liquid embodiment of your personality and style. And in one inhalation, this fragrance tells anyone who is standing close enough to you to breathe it in, who you are and what you stand for. For Chanel, one of the world’s most revered fashion houses, this scent is Bleu de Chanel Parfum.

The latest in what is now a trilogy of fragrances that first launched with Bleu Eau de Toilette in 2010, followed by Bleu Eau de Parfum four years later, like it’s predecessors, Bleu Parfum represents timeless sophistication and boundless freedom. It is simultaneously cool and liberating, warm and approachable.

Complete with the original woody and aromatic DNA blend of citrus, mint, patchouli, cedar and sandalwood notes, Bleu Parfum is crisp, woodsy and invigorating. Soothing lavender and elegant geranium however, replace the heady jasmine flower found in the Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum, while the addition of sweet pineapple, fresh green notes and warm amberwood and tonka beans give it a new intensity. The overall effect is open, powerful and more than a little addictive.

Like it’s brother scents, Bleu Parfum is captured in the line’s signature and classic, square black-blue flacon and cylinder cap.

Chanel, Bleu de Chanel Parfum is $116 for 50 ml and $163 for 100 ml, available at Holt Renfrew stores across Canada.
