It’s hardly the weather for sandals outside, but there are now some slick new options for fans of the classic Nike Benassi. The athletic brand is launching a totally fresh upgrade to their famous slipper line, and incorporating a new sneaker hybrid. Dubbed the Benassi Slip, the fresh kicks borrow heavily from the Nike Sock Dart, harnessing a balanced mixture of knit tech and suede strapping. The shoes marry the concept of casual comfort and flashy streetwear, and include the company’s Phylon cushioning on the midsole and interior sockliner with memory foam. These little tinges all help to customize the wearer’s experience.
The streamlined silhouette is made up of mesh fabric, which extends to the back heel of the shoe. This allows for a quick pull off, which is about as close as one can get to wearing the trademark Benassi sandals. Like its namesake, the most notable statement on the Slip, is of course, the Nike text sprawled across the suede strap. So far, there have been three colourways announced, including a grey, black, and olive edition. To cop the sneakers, you can visit Nike official’s website.
