After an incredibly successful year that culminated in a Mercury Prize and notable features on Drake’s most recent project, More Life, Skepta is looking to continue his undeniable hot streak. The British grime star is stepping away from the microphone this time around and lending his talents for a new line of fresh apparel called, Mains. The clothing capsule is armed with quality basics and comfortable pieces that will surely land on hypebeasts everywhere this summer.

Mr. Adenuga announced the new endeavour this week by taking to Instagram and posting a series of pictures from a growing lookbook. This marks the first time Skepta has entered into the world of fashion as a designer, but the lyricist has built a reputation for championing his own slick aesthetic. Along with other leading grime emcees, Skepta has consistently rocked monochromatic, workmanlike outfits that have helped to elevate the techwear trend we’re seeing everywhere these days.

Aside from the Instagram teases, not much is known about the fresh new brand. What we do know, however, is that Skepta wore a similar tracksuit to the British Fashion Awards last December and that Mains has a drop date at the end of the month. Skepta’s undeniable swag is all over this line and we can only hope that Mains is not limited to this particular drop. While we await more details regarding the project, you can visit the official website over here. In the meantime, take a look at the Instagram teases below and let us know what you think.
