Between mountains of snow and ample amounts of deicing salt, winter weather isn’t exactly ideal for sneakerheads. Thankfully, apparel brands everywhere have been working to curb this issue by releasing a plethora of winterized shoes designed to keep feet warm and dry during these harsh months. So far this year, all of Nike, Adidas, Puma, and even English brand, Clarks, have released their own weather-ready pieces to great success. Not one to be left out, American skatewear brand, Vans, is looking to up the ante this season with a special fleece edition of a beloved classic.

Launching this week are the new Vans Sherpa Checkerboard Slip-Ons. The fresh shoe plays off of the company’s now-iconic slide and comes armed with a fleece lining and plush exterior. Of course, the low cut silhouette leaves ankles bare, but the sneaker more than makes up for it with an incredibly warm toe and midsole. The shoes cost roughly $75 CAD and are now available online via New York-based retailer, Renarts. You can purchase a pair by visiting Renarts’ official webstore here.
