6. 1958 Plymouth Fury “Christine”

Appeared in: Christine (1983)

This “special order red” ’58 Fury pretty much defined the public’s view of automotive-based demonology. First seen in 1957 being assembled in a Detroit factory, “Christine” appears again in 1973, when it’s bought for $250 by Arnie Cunningham, a passerby teenager that soon becomes obsessed with restoring it. Little does he know of the car’s evil sentience and jealous nature, which puts him, his friends – and enemies – on Christine’s list of to-be victims. As one of the last of the “shark-tail-style” breed, the Fury is an iconic example of the rock ‘n roll era (also why Christine only plays 50s music on the radio). Due to the rarity of Fury’s however, the studio used several Plymouth Belvederes in different sequences, masked to look like a Fury.
