Are you a true believer? Not to be confused with a Belieber of Justin fan-dome or the 1989 movie starring Robert Downery Jr., we’re referring to the cosmetic and skincare brand Belif that launched in Korea in 2010 and marries the Brits’ 150-year-old herbal processing method. And yes, we’d like an answer. After all, this is a skincare company that grew it’s cult-following on a tagline that demands/asks you to believe in your skin.
You can read it right on the labels of Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb and Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb, too. Along with both products being hydrating and applicable as day and night creams, these face moisturizers tell you in black typeface to: believe in the truth. They also note that their formulations have been tested by a dermatologist and have been designed with herbalist Duncan Napier’s methodology of infusing natural herbs. (He’s the British guy we mentioned earlier.) What you won’t see written, however, are synthetic preservatives, dyes and fragrances; mineral oil; and animal ingredients. That’s because there aren’t any and that’s a good thing.
You know what else is exceptional? The two creams are ideal for winter’s fluctuating temperatures as they target your skin’s ever-changing needs. Aqua Bomb is best suited for days when your skin is a combination of dry and oily as it soothes the epidermis with tannins, creating a smooth, youthful and clear complexion. Moisturizing Bomb with its inclusion of apothecary herbs and comfrey leaf is optimal for days when your skin looks and feels dry and needs a little extra hydration to keep it supple and soft. And both products absorb into your skin quickly, helping eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Once you see that, you’re sure to be a true believer.
Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb and Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb are both $47 for 50 ml, available at THE FACE SHOP, Nature Collection, and Fruits & Passion stores across Canada.
