Remember Old Spice’s hilarious (although slightly creepy) ‘Momsong’ ad campaign that dropped in January? The viral sensation scored nearly 10 million views on YouTube while promoting the brand’s Re-Fresh body sprays, that apparently turn boys into men, and force moms to mourn the loss of their sons. All because “Old Spice sprayed them into men.”

Well, the viral geniuses at Old Spice (remember the ‘Old Spice Guy’) just hit it out of the park again with this unexpected follow up to the ‘Momsong’ viral video. The ‘Dadsong’ holiday commercial dropped early this morning on YouTube building on the men’s hygiene brand’s “Smellcome to Manhood” advertising campaign. The zany spot features over-the-top lyrics from Flight of the Conchords‘ songwriter Bret McKenzie and depicts how moms and dads react differently to their sons’ entry to manhood. Think moms who want their little boys to stay forever young and dads who are proud and a little relieved that their sons have finally grown up.

“He’s a man! He’s a boy! He’s a man! He’s a boy! He’s a man! He’s a boy!”
