Fragrance Of The Month: Carolina Herrera Bad Boy EDT

This month? We try out Carolina Herrera Bad Boy eau de toilette…

New York fashion house Carolina Herrera is answering the age-old question, why be good when you can be bad, with their new men’s eau de toilette Bad Boy.

A sexy, aromatic and vibrant scent, Bad Boy opens with a fresh tart bergamot and spicy hot white and black pepper blend before being enveloped by herbal sage and woodsy cedar notes. Warm and sensual tonka beans, cocoa and amber wood complete the eau, giving it an engaging and seemingly ever-lasting appeal—all captured in a midnight blue, lightning bolt-shaped bottle. The overall effect is bold and explosive, curious and unexpected, magnetic and exciting.

This sense of duality is part of the fragrance’s charm, indeed, as it is part of every bad boy’s persona. Coveted and just out of reach, while simultaneously so close that it borders on seduction Bad Boy is unequivocally provocative with more than a hint of longing and danger. “We needed to be daring with the fragrance,” affirms Carolina Herrera, the designer and founder of her eponymous brand. “We had to break the rules. It’s complex. It’s like real life, yin and yang, you need a bit of both.” Which makes Bad Boy and its spokesmodel, British actor Ed Skrein, the perfect masculine counterpart to American supermodel Karlie Kloss and Carolina Herrera’s equally sensational parfum Good Girl.

Carolina Herrera Bad Boy EDT, $92 for 50 ml and $124 for 100 ml, available online at www.thebay.com and at the Hudson’s Bay stores across Canada.
