10. Cizeta V16T

Conceived by ex-Lamborghini designer Marcello Gandini in the late 80’s (who was also responsible for the Lamborghini Countach and Diablo designs) the V16T had a familiar look, but underneath, it was a completely different animal. Mounted with a longitudinal 5-speed gearbox, it had two 5,995 cc V8’s, which made up a V16 engine (though technically not a true single-block V16). As strange as it was, the V16T was still pretty quick – capable of achieving 304 km/h (204 mph) in around four seconds. The excitement was short-lived, however – only eight models were built from 1991 until the company’s closure in 1995.
