Volkswagen Phaeton Mk.II
The Phaeton should, more accurately, be called the ‘Phantom’ as it disappeared from dealerships as soon as it appeared, due to slow sales and faint consumer interest. Volkswagen didn’t give up on the Phaeton though, determined to give it another go as the most luxurious and extravagant Volkswagen money can buy. A new, 345-horsepower twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 joins the engine lineup, along with a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 and the already-familiar W12 from Bentley and Audi.
