Best Tablets 2014: Which Tablet Should You Buy?

Above: 4 of the top tablets on the market right now

2014 proves to be a competitive year on the tablet market. There are several top-of-the line products currently available, which makes the decision-making process all that much more strenuous and exhausting. To help make your life a little easier (hopefully), we’ve broken down our top four for you.

In no particular order:

Google Nexus 7:

The Google Nexus 7 is considered by many to be the best android tablet currently on the market. It has a 7” display screen that creates both sharp and colourful images. It’s durable battery life and superior screen; make it one of the top tablets to buy. Also, for the first time, you have the option to create child-friendly restricted profiles so you can keep your adult information out of the reach of minors.

Samsung Galaxy TabPro 8.4:

The display on the Samsung Galaxy TabPro 8.4 is impeccable, with intensely saturated colours and superb viewing angles. Also, with it’s 8.4” size, it’s very light and portable for travel. Pricing starts at $400, which is moderately priced, but for the quality of product you will be getting in return, it’s definitely worth the price.

Apple iPad Air:

The Apple iPad Air is definitely the most popular iPad on the market, and is also the lightest tablet ever created to date. Its crisp display is ideal for watching movies, reading, and playing games. While its speakers release precise, high-quality sound even when lying flat, and the front camera is perfect for video chatting with friends and family. The only downside to the product is that it only supports MP4 and MOV files and the pricing is fairly expensive. But it’s a great product if you want to spend the money and invest in a superior high-end product that won’t disappoint.

ASUS Transformer Book T100:

If you want more than just a tablet by itself, the ASUS Transformer Book T100 is definitely the direction you should go. It’s a 2-in-1, portable laptop with a 10” tablet built in. It has super fast transmission speeds and allows for faster transfers of large files. The battery life is superb, lasting all the way up to 11 hours without needing to be charged. To top it off, it’s also environmentally friendly, putting devices in idle or shutting them down when it’s not being used. It’s considered by many product reviews to be the best large windows tablet on the market and starting at the reasonable price of just $349.

Trying to decide what product to buy when the market is overly crowded is not an easy selection. But with several great products available to you, there’s no real bad decision you can make.
